Plum Pancake Breakfast @ The Desoto (7/3/12)

Ok, I got a little carried away with the coconut vanilla yogurt & fresh sliced apricots on my "Plum Pancakes", but it is just so satisfying with just a hint of real maple syrup! It allows for that rich taste we expect with pancakes , but without quite so much of the sugar load you usually experience after a morning treat like this.
So along with the "Plum Pancakes with coconut vanilla yogurt &fresh apricots, we enjoyed "Basil Pesto Scrambled Eggs with Spinach, a "Spirulina Sweetie Juice" made from the juice of organic apples, pears, dark leafy greens, and of course spirulina! Also the Raw Milk du Jour was my favorite: Sprouted Almond milk with a hint of maple syrup and vanilla...yum. It goes so well with my Macrobiotic Granola, made with slightly fermented sprouted gluten-free oats and sweetened with dates, goji berries and figs!
Five to six servings a day of fresh fruits and veggies are essential just to STAY healthy these days. This is assuming you are not also putting anything in your body to tear it down! Our vegetables build vitality while our fruits allow nourishment and cleansing...a must for these days and times.
