Tuesday...a Heart-Healthy Breakfast (6/27/12)

Good morning from The Desoto Inn in North Hollywood, Florida!
Here's a heart-healthy breakfast that will tantalize the taste buds in the morning...
Sprouted grains (quinoa and red, basmati and wild rice) along with three sprouted beans (lentils, mung & adzuki) make up the base of this organic, gluten-free vegan meal. I call this my Dandy Bowl as it is just dandy to cook up the grains and then throw in what veggies we have in the fridge. It is an ever-changing healthy, easily digestible breakfast! This morning I tossed in green and yellow zucchini, gold beets, rainbow chard, celery, carrots, cilantro and spices. Being playful with the spices creates a new and different taste experience every time...try sage and a pinch do cayenne!
Along with today's entree, we had our fresh-made Good Morning Sunshine Juice (carrot, orange, apple and ginger). Our granola is a raw chocolate buckwheat, served with fresh-made sunflower seed milk.
A nice long walk on the beach is in order on this breezy sunny morning. Healthy never tasted this good!
